Recent Pennsylvania car accidents: 3-car crash injures 2

Two individuals were recently injured in a three-car crash near Elizabethtown. The accident occurred on a recent Friday morning in December, police say. When Pennsylvania residents suffer serious injuries due to their involvement in car accidents that were the fault of another party, the victims may be entitled to file personal injury claims against the responsible parties.

A 29-year-old Mount Joy man was headed east on a street in Mount Joy Township just before 6 a.m. For reasons that are currently unknown, his vehicle crossed into the other lane of oncoming traffic. His car then struck a car driven by a 29-year-old Mount Joy man, police said.

After that collision, his car collided with another car that a 21-year-old Elizabethtown was driving in the westbound lane of the street. The drivers of the first and third cars were taken to a local hospital. The severity of the injuries they suffered is not currently known, police say; the driver was the second car was apparently uninjured.

Although it is not currently clear why the first driver drifted into the other lane of traffic, it is possible that he fell asleep at the wheel or was distracted while driving. Regardless, if the investigation points to driver negligence as contributing to or causing the accident, the injured party may have recourse to file a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault driver. Moreover, if charges end up being filed and successfully prosecuted in this case, they may be used as evidence in a personal injury lawsuit. When car accidents occur in Pennsylvania that result in serious injury to individuals, the victims typically choose to consult an experienced personal injury attorney in order to assess the validity of their claim.
