Tractor-trailer involved in fatal car crash

A fatal car accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike claimed the life of a Pittsburgh man recently after his vehicle slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer. The 33-year-old was driving his car in the late morning when the tractor-trailer suddenly slowed. The man's vehicle could not stop in time, and he was killed by the resulting crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt in the accident.

The police will investigate the crash and they will ultimately determine what happened in this crash and who was to blame. But it appears this wreck is the true definition of an "accident."

There are still two takeaways from this accidents, and the first is that everyone needs to remember to give themselves a fair bit of room between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them. When you're on the highway, you cover so much ground in such a short amount of time. So for your own safety, give yourself that extra bit of space so that you have the time to react to traffic in front of you.

The other element to this crash is the tractor-trailer. Now it appears there was no fault on the part of the tractor-trailer in this crash. However, there are many other accidents that involve large trucks or tractor-trailers where the truck driver or the truck company is somehow at fault. The truck company often employs tough tactics to mitigate liability, sending out an army of lawyers to make your personal injury case a tough one. So consult a personal injury attorney to help you fight the good fight.
